Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange next month
As announced by Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports in the central province of Quang Nam, the 2012 Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange is taking place from August 24-26 in Hoi An ancient town.
As announced by Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports in the central province of Quang Nam, the 2012 Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange is taking place from August 24-26 in Hoi An ancient town.
The event is featuring a wide variety of activities such as a Haiku poem composing contest and exhibition, Japanese and Quang Nam food presentations and souvenir photo shoots with yukata. The closing ceremony includes street art performance shows and a community art exchange. On this occasion, the city will also host the “Hoi An ancient town night” in response to the National Year of Tourism and Heritage from 4pm to 9:30pm on August 30.
This is an annual event jointly hosted by the authorities of Hoi An Town, the Japanese Embassy, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). It aims to enhance the friendship and broaden the cooperation relationship between Japan and Vietnam as well as to promote Hoi An as a world cultural heritage among local and international friends.
