Hang Buom – Street of Sail
Apart from the taciturn touch of the sacred temple, Hang Buom is always holding an exciting vibe with busy merchandising activities of locals from dawn to dusk.
In the past, the street carried the name “ Hang Buom” because it specialized on selling sails (Buom means ‘sail’ in Vietnamese). In this modern time, the street sells various interesting things, namely confectionaries, street food stalls in the daytime and some groovy club with EDM for party-goers in the nighttime.
If your time allows, let’s spend a whole evening strolling casually along “Hang Buom cuisine path” after 7.30pm from Friday night to Sunday night every week to joyfully swing along with the Old Quarter’ life rhythm.
At 76 Hang Buom where it intersects with Ta Hien, you can quickly sense the incense from Bach Ma temple- one of the most frequented temple by the local living in the Old Quarter area. Dress properly and stay quiet as you enter this holy place.
