Nha Trang University was formerly Fishery Faculty of Hanoi University of Agriculture and then transformed to be a university in 1977. However, the name “Nha Trang University” has apllied to this school since 2006. Nha Trang University has major mission to train undergraduate and postgraduate students in various streams which are mostly concentrated on Fishery, Aquatic exploitation and Biological Technology. This is also an important science center in the middle of Vietnam which has contributed significantly in technological and science development of the area, especially in Fishery industry.

Nha Trang University current possesses a standardized teaching team with 12 professors and vice-professors, 57 doctors and 197 masters who are excellent in Fishery and other areas. These lecturers ensure that students graduated from Nha Trang University are not only brilliant in theory and knowledge, but also skillful in practice and application. These students are crucial elements to support meliorating target to Khanh Hoa as well as other provinces in adjacent regions.
