Getting From Hanoi to Sapa By Bus

Currently, train is the most convenient way that people often choose to get to Sapa. However, you can also take a bus to head straight there from Hanoi with an initial price starting at around VND350,000 /one way ($18). Sapa is 385km from Hanoi, and it will be a 9-hour-trip. Bus often departs from My Dinh terminal at 8.30 a.m. or 20.30 p.m.

If your starting time is in the morning, get ready to enjoy the splendidly picturesque mountain scenery along the road. But if the bus departs in the evening, at least that will save you one night at the hotel.
