What can speak a clearer image of Vietnam than the iconic ao dai?

To bring viewers closer to the modern image of the traditional cultural symbol of Vietnam, and to help create understanding of the value of such important aspect of the land, the Vietnam Women's Museum has decided to feature a collection of "ao dai" from designer Pham Quoc Tuan on the 81st anniversary of Vietnamese Women's day.

The exhibit, "Quốc sắc thiên hương" (Beauty of the land and Virtue of the universe) features nearly 100 latest works from the acclaimed designer. Mr. Pham has worked extensively on "ao dai" for more than 10 years. Over the course of his dedication to the art, he has created some 3000 pieces of ao dai. His works utilize both modern and traditional material to fully extend the appeal of such iconic symbol of Vietnam's time-tested beauty.

Since it is a one-day event, art lovers and admirers of ao dai should arrange for time and head to the Women Museum, 36 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi on Thursday October 20th. Ticket is available at the door for only 30,000vnd.

VNO Production is also going to report on the exhibit, stay tuned for more videos to come!
