European linguistic day at Goethe Institute Hanoi this weekend
Linguists and language interaction lovers in Hanoi will be delighted to know that European Language Day is held at Goethe Institute Hanoi on two days, 14 and 15 October 2011.
Linguists and language interaction lovers in Hanoi will be delighted to know that European Language Day is held at Goethe Institute Hanoi on two days, 14 and 15 October 2011. The event is organized with collaboration of numerous cultural institutes in Hanoi including Goethe Institute, British Council, Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie and Cervantes Institute. The participation of the embassies of countries such as Italia, Austria, Spanish, France and Hungary promises a great event.
The first day of this event targets mostly at linguistic presentations, lectures and discussions on many topics such as linguistic projects, language diversity and its impact on the cultures of Europe. Taking part in these academic activities are language experts from Vietnam and many European countries such as Professor Nguyen Quoc Hung (Vice-president of Hanoi University), Bengal Professor Jean – Marie Klinkenberg (University of Liège (Belgum), Professor Jurgen Quetz from Goethe University Frankfurt and Dr. Georg Heindl, Austria Ambassador in Vietnam .
The next day comes with more activities for public participants. Each country has time to introduce about its language and encourage people to learn it. Participants on this day are also given chances to learn some basic knowledge of charming languages in Europe via short courses and visual materials such as poster, movies and images provided by the organizers.
No registration or fee required to participate in the event.
