Exhibition in Hanoi featuring Bahnar Minority

From September 5 to 19, a photography exhibition about the Bahnar will be held at L'Espace, Hanoi.

L'Espace has become a familiar name among arts lovers and fans of cultural displays. This time, L'Espace will be the hosting stage for an exhibition called "The Bahnar minorities in Kontum" from September 5 to 15.

Bahnar is one of the 53 ethnic minorities in Vietnam, with a population of over 22,000, mainly concentrated in the central highland provinces such as Gia Lai, Kon Tum and Phu Yen. Because of its low population and less influential culture. Bahnar is little know among the many ethnicities of Vietnam.

The exhibition will thus promisingly expose more of Bahnar culture and people. All photos displayed are art works of local folk culturists Nguyen Dong Chi and Nguyen Kinh Thi, both of whom had spent times exploring the life of Bahnar people.

The event is free of charge and be held at L'Espace, 24 Trang Tien.
