Once again, the annual International Kite Competition is going to come back on Hoi An Beach on May 18, 2013, at the Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort and Spa.
Once again, the annual International Kite Competition is going to come back on Hoi An Beach on May 18, 2013, at the Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort and Spa.
This year’s event is the 9th time the international kite competition is organized in Hoi An, with the attendances of more than 160 contestants coming from both inside and outside of Vietnam, and a huge number of spectators.
“All the kites of contestants are going to be tested carefully before the official game to guarantee that we’ll have a safe and enjoying competition. Thanks to the International Kite Competition, we expect to attract more tourists to Hoi An during this summer vacation”, shares Pham Hong Trang, representative of the organizers.
Since 2005, the International Kites Competition Hoi An has been being a rendezvous event that is awaited by local citizens, tourists and international contestants. In 2013, the Angkor team from Cambodia would join for the first time.
The winner will receive VND 12,000,000 (US$570) while the runner-up and third place would receive VND 6,000,000 (US$285) and VND 4,000,000 (US$190) respectively.
