July 4th, U.S. Independence Day, is one of the most expected holidays in a year to Americans. For American expats who are living in Ho Chi Minh City during this special occasion, there are some activities to celebrate the Independence Day.

For American expats who are living in Ho Chi Minh City during this special occasion, there are some activities to celebrate the Independence Day. Because the Independence Day this year is on Monday, some celebrations will start during weekends: July 2 and July 3.
At Seventeen Saloon Bar (103A, Pham Ngu Lao Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), there is a party taking place on Saturday, July 2 from 7:30 p.m. The program includes: flag ceremony accompanied with American national anthem, cowboy dances and game shows.
Later on July 4, there is an authentic buffet at the Chit Chat at the café of the Equatorial Hotel. Burgers, American beef and a wide range of drinks are available at the buffet. An adult has to pay $30 and a child from 6 to 12 years old has to pay $5 to get in.
Another buffet to celebrate the Independence Day is available at the Legend Hotel Saigon on July 4. American people or foreigners can find popular American fare at the buffet, such as: glazed ham, roasted turkey, cheesecake, pumpkin pie. Drinks are complimented. The price is $21 for an adult ($10 for a child) for a lunch buffet and $37 for an adult ($18 for a child) for a dinner buffet.
