Mu Cang Chai Terrace Culture Week to be held in September
In response to the 55-years celebration of Mu Cang Chai District (Yen Bai Province), the terrace tourism week of Mu Cang Chai is planned to take place from 14-20 September at 4 destinations: La Pan Tan Town, De Xu Phinh Town, Pung Luong Town and Che Cu Nha Town.
In response to the 55-years celebration of Mu Cang Chai District (Yen Bai Province), the terrace tourism week of Mu Cang Chai is planned to take place from 14-20 September at 4 destinations: La Pan Tan Town, De Xu Phinh Town, Pung Luong Town and Che Cu Nha Town.
The cultural week consists of various activities reflecting daily and traditional lives of minor communities in the area, such as “The New Rice”, a rite of Mong People at La Pan Tan Town on 17 September, and “Fast harvesting, skilled plow” competition at De Xu Phinh Town on 16 September.
Mu Cang Chai Terrace stretches on an area of 2,300 ha with hundreds year of history since the first Mong ethnic minority people planted rice here. This is also an attractive tourism destination thanks to its spectacular landscapes as well as the unique culture of ethnic communities.
