Sibylle Bergemann’s photo exhibition to be held at Goethe Institute
The exhibition starts at 6.00pm on 11th, October 2011 with a small opening ceremony and last to 12th November at Goethe Institute in Vietnam (56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street).

Displayed at the exhibition are the photographic masterpieces of famed German photographer Sibylle Bergemann. They consist of numerous photo series in various topics that mostly focus on reflecting social development at her time. Through the photos, Sibylle’s desire for freedom on artistic composition is expressed.
Sibylle Bergemann is one of the most revolutionary and important photographers in East Germany during the Cold War era in Europe. Her artworks, which are highly appreciated by various audiences throughout the world, have impacted many generations of German. She passed away in November last year in Gransee near Brandenburg.
Goethe Institute in Vietnam is a cultural organization of Germany named after the well-known German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe with the main purpose of spreading German culture via diverse activities such as German teaching, exhibitions, movie premiere and concert.
