Ta Quang Buu street drags from Dai Co Viet street to Bach Mai street, belongs to Hai Ba Trung district. This street is named after the first principal of one of the first universites of Vietnam, Ha Noi University Of Technology (HUT), a well-known professor of Maths, Physics represented with Ho Chi Minh medal for his contributions to the Revolution and a symbol of knowledge and study spririt to his students in HUT.
Around the street locate many universities of Hanoi, such as: National Economics University, Hanoi Open University, University of Civil Engineering with the number of students of more than 10 000, so the life in here is much student-like. Street coffee, street “tra da” (ice tea), Sai Gon (Southern) sweetened porridge, snack houses, street books sale, street clothes sale… everything is cheap and fast as for students. It’s always busy and crowded with the daylife activites of thousands of students bustling coming back to dormitories after class and sports in the Bach Khoa stadium; or nightlife activities of self-studying in Ta Quang Buu library and inspired music contests of Student Unions… Get there by bus 31.
