According to the latest information from Kazakhstan national flag carrier Air Astana, this airline is opening direct route from Kazakhstan to Ho Chi Minh City in December 2012.
Specifically, Air Astana will operate two flights per week from Almaty’s Int’ Airport (Almaty, Kazakhstan) to Ho Chi Minh and vice versa by Boeing 757 airplane, which allows 40 to 50 passengers per flight. At the beginning time, this new route concentrates on serving travelers from Kazakhstan and businessmen from both countries, travelers from Vietnam and oversea workers are next targets after this route attains sustainable condition.
Both representatives from Vietnamese administration and Air Astana believe that this will be a push up to the commercial relationship between the two nations, particularly in transportation and tourism industry.
