Two young tourists from London, Katie Patridge and Seb Blach accidently became stars in a short film whilst they were visiting Tra Que Vegetable Village near Hoi An.
The couple came to Da Nang on recommendation of their friends. At the second day of their trip, they met a Vietnamese businessman, Mr Duong Hien Hoang, who was about to construct a water wheel at Tra Qua Villages, a place for tourists to experience various activities of local residents, such as making rice paper, cooking or farming. The businessman, who is also a professional film maker, was searching for cast in his promotional video about the water wheel, had invited the couple to participate in.
Both Katie and Seb were excited about the casting. While Katie thinks about the awareness the video can gain for Tra Que Water Wheel, Seb is delighted because he had chances to appear in the movie “like a movie star”, instead of standing behind the scene as he often does with his job in London.
The film is on final editing stage, and soon be published on worldwide video platform YouTube.
