Receiving the wholehearted support from the local authorities of Ha Giang Province, Chi Hamlet, which is 14km from Quang Binh District of Ha Giang has been opened to serve the trendy demand of cultural tourism.
Strange experience that can be hardly found anywhere else in the world is what heard from many foreign visitors to the hamlet. Amongst 4 ethnic groups in the hamlet, Tay people make up 96%, and the rest are Kinh, Nung, and Dao people. With spectacular stilt house erected on hills, terraces, and the decoration of bed room, altar, kitchen, living room or special living tools, the hamlet conquers any picky tourist from the very first sight. Ong But Slope or Lay Quang Lake for example, offer the best view of the sunset or chilling out poetic fishing.
Besides the stunning scenery, accordingly to the opening, many festivals that full of traditional games such as tung con (throwing a sacred ball), ban no (crossbows shooting) and ca kheo (walking on stilts), are expected to light traveller’s days in the hamlet. Additionally, Tay groups is famous for their traditional hand-made brocade weaving craft such as patterned cloth, blanket, or cushion, which are very good souvenir considerations.
