Direct air-route Nha Trang – Moscow launched
At 11:15M, 5 April 2013, the flight VN071 of the national flag Vietnam Airlines departed from Cam Ranh Airport (Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa) to Moscow, which mark an important milestone as the first direct air route connecting the two cities.

Although it is newly launched, the flight is already fully loaded.
This is the third direct air route between Vietnam and Russia of Vietnam Airlines, which is aimed at further investment and development in long term. At the present, the airway offers only one flight per week, and expects to increase to two flights per week, starting from December 2013.
In the opening ceremony of this new air route, the Minister of the Ministry of Transportation Dinh La Thang recommended Vietnam Airlines and related departments to continue investing and expanding the international network and to update Cam Ranh Airport equivalent to the international standards.
At present, Russia is one of the top ten markets of Vietnam’s tourism. In 2012, Vietnam welcomed approximately 180,000 Russian tourists, in which 82,000 visited Khanh Hoa. The major of them came from 9 cities in the Far Eastern of Russia and went into Vietnam through Cam Ranh International Airport.
