Free wi-fi to cover Hue
The People Committee of Hue city has approved a project of VNPT Thua Thien Hue to set-up more wi-fi access points in numerous public destinations in this city.
The People Committee of Hue city has approved a project of VNPT Thua Thien Hue to set-up more wi-fi access points in numerous public destinations in this city.
The project is now at its planning step, is expected to be invested about VND 20 billion. In order to fulfill its target, dozens of wi-fi access points will be installed in various locations inside the city, including tourism attractions, restaurants, trains, bus stations and hospital.
This is considered another effort of Hue authorities and other provinces in the central region of Vietnam to provide better public services to both local residents and travelers, and promote tourism industry in this area. In the beginning months of 2012, a similar project to cover Hoi An Town with wi-fi was completed with dozens of billion VND of investment. In 2011, Hue VNPT carried out a project transforming 27 abandoned telephone booths of the city to emergent phone stations to serve local people and travelers.
