Hanoi People’s Council has approved a proposal by tourism administration of the city to develop 6 crucial clusters in different locations both in downtown and suburb area.
Hanoi People’s Council has approved a proposal by tourism administration of the city to develop 6 crucial clusters in different locations both in downtown and suburb area. The plan is expected to help enhancing the quality of the city’s tourism industry and attracting more tourists.
There are three destinations in the central area on the list, including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Museum and Relic Complex, Hoan Kiem Lake and surrounding area of the Old Quarter.
The other three destinations at the suburb are predominantly natural attractions, which are suitable for developing ecological, leisure and spiritual tourism activities. They consist of Son Tay - Ba Vi area, Huong Son Pagoda and Quan Son Lake area, and Soc Temple – Dong Quan Lake.
Hanoi has been seeing quick development in tourism recently but its infrastructure and tourism service may hardly meet customer’s demand. Tourists do not tend to stay long or just consider it as a transit to other destination such as Ha Long Bay or Sapa.
