According to The People Committee of Hue City, the 5th Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2013 with its theme “Craft villages in tourism development” is planned to take place from April 27 to May 1, 2013.
According to The People Committee of Hue City, the 5th Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2013 with its theme “Craft villages in tourism development” is planned to take place from April 27 to May 1, 2013.
The event is organized by The People’s Committee of Hue City, in association with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tourism Association of Thua Thien Hue and other related local departments.
The main purpose of this event is to introduce the elite of Hue’s traditional craft villages, as well as to strengthen preserving the strong tradition of the city.
Major activities of the festival consist of an exhibition on handicrafts, a craft village fair, a photo exhibition on craft villages and a cuisine festival of craft villages all over Vietnam. Besides, there are plenty of other activities waiting for visitors such as artisans meeting, art performance and installation art.
Hue is a center of culture and tourism in not only the central area, but also the whole Vietnam. This is a venue for various cultural events with national and international scale. One of them can be called right out is the annual Festival Hue, an event that draw huge number of both domestic and international tourists.
