Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just published detailed program for National Tourism Year 2013. This new national tourism year concentrates on tourism in Red River Delta, and Do Son Beach at Hai Phong province is placed at the central position.

Accordingly, activities in response to the occasion will be organized widely in many provinces and cities located by Red River Delta Region, including Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh and Hai Duong.
Diverse cultural, artistic and sporty activities orientated and supervised by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism associating with other related ministries and local departments such as street arts, cuisine festival, and sport completion are expected.
As planned, the opening ceremony of 2013 National Tourism Year will be kicked off at Haiphong Town on 11 May 2013, which is also the celebration day of 58th year of liberation of Haiphong (11 May 1954), while closing ceremony is projected at the end of 2013.
National Tourism Year is annual program launched by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The 2012 National Tourism Year concentrates on tourism in Hue and North-Central area of Vietnam with various successes so far.
