With beautiful design and layout, clear and succinct information, the map serves as a helpful guidebook for not only foreign tourists but also domestic tourists who are keen to learn more about special streets named “HANG”.
The first side of the map features introductory information about Hanoi with the focus on 4 major districts: Dong Da, Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh and Hai Ba Trung. Meanwhile the other side is especially dedicated to the Hanoi Old Quarter. The map is available at bookstores along Trang Tien Str., Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.
Hanoi Old Quarter was established in 11th century as a trade center for artisans and merchants from all corners of the country to meet up and exchange goods. It is considered an essence of Hanoi, with tube-shaped houses with slopping roofs, well-preserved communal houses, temples and pagodas. Today the Old Quarter is a must-see destination for tourists who want to learn about the 1000-year history of Thang Long – Hanoi.
