As announcement for Quang Binh authorities indicates, the month of cave tourism is projected to be held in this June. This is considered an event of the province in response to the National Tourism Year 2012.
This occasion aims to promote the image of the tourism industry in Quang Binh Province as well as the whole Vietnam, particularly in cave tourism. Calling for investment for the development of the province, enhancing living condition of local residents are also focused.
During a month of this event, several activities on cave discovery are organized to introduce magnificent beauty of natural caves in Quang Binh. They consists of tours exploring various destinations inside the world’s heritage Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park such as En Cave, Sinh Ton Valley or Rao Thuong; traditional boat race on Nhat Le River or photographic exhibition of Quang Binh natural sceneries.
Quang Binh Province is well-known with numerous natural attraction, including world heritage Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park or Dong Hoi and Nhat Le beaches. It is estimated that Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park are visited by about 250,000 travelers in 2011, with revenue on tourism reached VND 424 billion.
