Vietnam Airlines to increase 1000 flights this Tet Holiday

Information from the Vietnam Airlines Corporation revealed that the national flag carrier is planning to massively increase the number of flights on the peak season of this Tet Holiday (from January 25 to March 2, 2013).
Accordingly, air travellers will have 1,000 flights more, which are accounted for 174,500 seats on 10 densest air routes.
Specifically, Vietnam Airlines will serve 82.600 seats for Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City route, 27% increase comparing to the current rate. While on average, Vietnam Airlines supplies approximately 5.300 seats/ day/ round, on peak days, the number may reach 10.300 seats/ day/ round, which is 2.3 times of the normal rate.
On the Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang route, the airline will offer 46.250 seats more (34% increase compare to normal rate). On average, there would be around 2.450 seats/ day/ round. On peak day, the number would be 5.800 seats/ day/ round, which is 3.2 times of the normal rate.
On other domestic routes, Vietnam Airlines intends to add up to 8 routes, from HCMC to Phu Quoc/ Vinh/ Dong Hoi/ Hue/ Nha Trang/ Quy Nhon/ Buon Ma Thuot/ Pleiku. The total amount of seats is 45.650, which increases by 20%, concentrating mainly on higher demand routes like HCMC – Vinh/ Nha Trang/ Hue/ Quy Nhon – HCMC.
With this plan, Vietnam Airline hope to solve the lack of flight tickets encountered frequently during Tet holiday in recent years.
Customers interested in buying flight tickets in advance may now book online or at retail store of Vietnam Airline. 75% of the total tickets would be issued from November 11, 2012; and the last 25% will be sold from mid-December 2012.
