This weekend Ho Chi Minh City will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms at day and variable clouds at night. The temperature has slowly cooled of recently, with the heat index just hovering around 32C. Events to look forward to this weekend is the well-received installation art exhibition by Colombian by Luz Angela Lizarazwhich is still going strong at Sàn Art and lacquer exhibition entitled “Echo” at Cactus Contemporary Art.

This weekend Danang will experience several thunderstorms throughout today and Sunday. The side effect of thunderstorms is that chance of precipitation rise dramatically to 80%. Saturday, however, is an exception with clear blue sky. The heat index over the weekend ranges from 34C to 37C but after rain the temperature can drop to as quickly as 23C. Since rain is not a problem this Saturday, go to Marble Mountains or My Khe beach to reinvigorate yourself and be ready for next week.

Ho Chi Minh City named top street food destination
The leading travel-oriented community Virtual Tourist has recently listed Ho Chi Minh City among the world’s top 10 cities for street food. The city has also received some major cred recently, with a spot in a similar list by the renowned culinary magazine Food & Wine and its specialty, Banh Mi, was name as one of the most pleasing street foods around the world by the popular travel guide Lonely Planet.
UAE airline to launch direct route to Ho Chi Minh City
The UAE-based airline Etihad Airways recently announced that it is planning to open flights between Ho Chi Minh City and UAE in October 2013. If implemented, HCMC will be the 6th destination in Southeast Asia that Etihad flies to, with other regional routes including Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Singapore.
3rd International Puppetry to take place in Hanoi
The event will take place in Hanoi from 2 to 9 September with diverse performances of arts troupes from 20, each aiming to introduce the quintessence of her own puppetry art. There are also numerous extra performances along with the main festival taking place at Tuoi Tre Theatre, Hong Ha Theatre, Au Co Theatre and Kinder Park.
