World trip by electric car hellos Vietnam
The first ever world tour on electric car by two young French engineers, Antonin Guy and Xavier Degon, has arrived in Vietnam in the beginning of July.
The first ever world tour on electric car by two young French engineers, Antonin Guy and Xavier Degon, has arrived in Vietnam in the beginning of July.
Responding to media at press conference on July 6, the two French travelers says the main purposes of their journeys are to promote electric cars, which are regarded as environmental-friendly vehicles, and to ensure that they are safe and effective as normal cars. Meeting with interesting people during the trip, at charging points in nations the two have crossed is also mentioned as another motivation.
After Vietnam, Guy and Degon will continue their trips ton many Asian countries, starting with China on July 8.
The two French engineers have been with their journeys by electric cars all over the world since February 11, 2012 from Strasbourg (France), with targets of using about USD310 worth of electric to travel across 17 countries, which is equivalent to the distances of 25,000km. Before arriving in Vietnam, they have been over 15,000km, with Laos as previous stop.
