Vietnam in Two Weeks
Two Weeks is a popular time frame that many families, couples and solo travellers set for Vietnam. Many combine this into their trip around South-East Asia while others as part of their summer vacation or Christmas break.
With 2 weeks in hand, you have more choices than just a region suggested with the 1 week itinerary. If you want to see more of the country, fly from one place to another might be your best bet with the extensive network of domestic flights, for the great distance from the North to the South on the one hand, and the yet-to-improved road condition on the other. You can also change the order of the itinerary, depending on the airport that you will arrive (Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City).
Day 1- 4: Hanoi and Halong Bay
Please see Day 1-3 of the Hanoi Itinerary page for details. You might also cut down the time in Halong into a day trip and leave more time for other destinations.

Day 5-8: Hue and Hoi An
A great way to explore your options in Central Vietnam is to check out our suggestion for a three day trip in Hue, Hoi An and Da Nang. Very few travellers say they do not like Hoi An so allow plenty of time for the town. As for Hue, there are many city tours on offer in the tourist area in the downtown. In case you have a difficult time navigating the city, join the tour to see more for less time. Day 9-10: Nha Trang and Mui Ne

Depart for Nha Trang, if you want a real sun, sea and sand experience. The beach is listed among the most beautiful in the world and ideal for many water-based activities such as wind surfing or snorkelling. Otherwise if you want something less crowded, go to Mui Ne instead. The beach is not as luring as Nha Trang, in exchange for the tranquility and the beautiful sand dunes nearby. In the summer, you can visit the giant dragon fruits garden and enjoy this local fruits for as low as 40 cents per kilogram. Both Nha Trang and Mui Ne have a huge market scene, especially in the morning when fresh seafood is traded. If you have a craving for seafood, do not miss these destinations.

Day 12-14: South and Mekong Delta
Check Day Trips near Ho Chi Minh City for details on how you can spend time in the South of Vietnam. If you have extra time, book a tour to visit the floating market near Can Tho or visit Ben Tre for some local cuisines. Learning how to grill fresh water fish wrapped in banana leaves or to make coconut candies the Vietnam way may become the highlighted part of your 2 weeks in the country.
