From a glass of plain yogurt, people have a various ways to create a totally new delicacy: mixed it with shaved ice, with violet glutinous rice, coffee, jelly, or fruit. Yogurt is such a popular and favorite dish of young Hanoians that normally, yogurt in one shop can be made and sold out within a day.

Ba Trieu Street’s yogurt
With some people, this little shop is considered the best yogurt shop of the city for the high quality and very reasonable price. Its specialty is yogurt mixed with fresh jackfruit. A large eye-catching bowl is filled with white yogurt, shaved ice, yellow jackfruit, together with some colorful home-made jelly and pearls (tiny balls made of tapioca starch). The friendly owners and staff also contribute to the attractiveness of this shop, as it is very popular with both teenagers and nearby companies’ employees. The price for a bowl of yogurt is around VND 15000.

White-haired old man’s yogurt
Special as its name, white-haired old man’s yogurt is well-known for its wide range of “juice- yogurt”- yogurt made by milk and fresh fruit juice and yogurt mixed with violet glutinous rice. Customers are free to choose their favorite flavor: orange, peach, apple, lychee, or even coffee and cacao.
Its cheap price (only VND6000 for a glass of yogurt) makes it be one of the most favorite street-food shops with young Hanoians.

Cocoa yogurt
People love visiting this small street stall to enjoy its exclusively delicious cacao yogurt, in which softly solid yogurt is cut into small cubes and covered with cocoa powder. Different from eating other kinds of yogurt, we will need a large spoon to slice the cubes when enjoying cocoa yogurt. Let’s the sweet yogurt melt, combining with the bitter cocoa to create the wonderful taste on the top of our tongue.
