Trip Summary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh Arrival

Warmly greeted by our tour guide once you step off your plane. Transfer to hotel for your room check in. Have a quick rest. Visit the city famous tourist attractions including Reunification Palace, War Remnant Museum, Nortre Dame, Central Post Office, and Cho Lon Market. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City > Mekong Delta > Ho Chi Minh City

Morning pick up at your hotel then leave Saigon, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway. Visit Vinh Trang pagoda in My Tho, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Boat ride to An Khanh - a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan. Enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the local sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music". Visit a family business epitomizing the idyllic rural lifestyle. Meet the bus and return to Saigon with fascinating collection of beautiful memories. Drop off at hotel. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Saigon

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City > Nha Trang

Morning pickup at your hotel. Breakfast is warmly served. Transfer to airport for morning flight to Nha Trang. Arrive in Nha Trang and proceed to your hotel for your room check in. Lunch and dinner is on your own. Free at the rest of the day for your own exploring of the coastal city. Overnight in Nha Trang

Day 4: Nha Trang Free Day

Breakfast is warmly served for you. Morning visit to Cau Da port. Proceed to Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu island, where many sea species are happily co-existing making the aquarium a small-scale ocean world. Experience snorkeling to observe at naked eyes the colorful coral reef and fish system of Mun Island. Admire the magnificent caves in which sea swallows make their nest. Free time for relaxing, swimming and doing some water activities in near by islands. Fresh lunch is served at the island. Visit fishing villages on the way back to hotel. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Nha Trang

Day 5: Da Nang > Hoi An

Breakfast is warmly served. Take morning flight to Da Nang. Visit My Son Sanctuary - a world heritage site once you step off your plane. Lunch and dinner is on your own. Free time to enjoy your free day in this charming little town. Overnight in Hoi An

Day 6: Hoi An > Hanoi 

Breakfast is warmly served. Free at the rest of the day for your own discovery of the ancient city. Take afternoon flight back to Hanoi. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi City Tour > Night Train to Lao Cai

Morning pick up and enjoy a day Hanoi city tour including Ho Chi Minh complex (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, The Presidential Palace, House on stilt and One Pillar Pagoda). Continue to visit the Temple of Literature - the First University of Vietnam. Lunch in a local restaurant. Afterward, visiting Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Return to Hanoi Old Quarter for a daily-life-discovering walking tour. Free until time for your transfer to night train in Lao Cai. Overnight on train.

Day 8: Sapa Free Day

Local breakfast at Sapa (a home to various minorities in Vietnam) before trekking to the villages. Sneak through the market and leave the busy town behind before going downhill to idyllic Cat Cat village. Stop by a waterfall and a hydroelectric station for a while. Trek on a dirt trail through rice paddy terraces and enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. Arrive at Y Linh Ho village of Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest while river-nearby lunch is served. Head to Muong Hoa valley then pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Ta Van village of Giay minority. Spend the night in local house of Giay minority. Walk along the valley to enjoy the view as well as swim in the river nearby. Dinner and homestay with local people

Day 9: More Trekking - Sapa > Night Train back to Hanoi

Leave for Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dao minority after breakfast. Trek through bamboo forest belonging to Hoang Lien National Park. Pass by a romantic waterfall, take a rest and enjoy the surrounding. You will find a nice place to enjoy lunch. Continue toward Su Pan, a small village located by the road after luch. Back to Sapa by car. Free until time for transfer to Lao Cai train station for your night train back to Hanoi. Dinner is on your own. Overnight on train

Day 10: Hanoi > Ha Long Bay

Morning pick up and transfer to Halong Bay. Arrive to Halong at noon and get on our traditional wooden boat/cruise. Enjoy your time for relaxing, sightseeing and swimming. Visit the Floating Fishing village and go swimming if the weather permits. Meals are included. Overnight on board

Day 11: Ha Long Bay

Cruise program continues. Early morning wake up for Tai Chi class on sundeck. Coffee, tea, and bakeries are also readily available in the restaurant. Visit arguably the largest caves in Halong Bay, the Surprise Cave. Luxurious meals are included. Overnight on board.

Day 12: Ha Long Bay > Hanoi

Last day on board in the middle of splendid Ha Long Bay. Wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves and birds welcoming the new day. View the sunrise over the bay and after breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto. Have a walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Drive back to Hanoi and stay overnight. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 13: Hanoi > Ho Chi Minh City Out

Morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Free at the rest of the day for your last-minute shopping. Bring home your own private collection of memorable tours. Transfer to airport for your flight back home. Trip ends.
